Results of the AKM Video Meteor Network - July 1999 =================================================== Since March 1999, a number of video meteor cameras are regularly operated by members of the German 'Arbeitskreis Meteore'. The systems work fully autonomously with the MetRec meteor detection software. Here are the results for July 1999. The weather was very poor in the first part, but it was nearly perfect in the moonlit nights at the end of July. The increased meteor numbers in the second part of the month result from both enhanced meteor shower activity (Aquarids, Capricornids, early Perseids) and major improvements of the meteor detection software. 1.
